Biotechnology and bio-industry are becoming an integral part of the knowledge-based economy, as they are closely associated with progress in the life sciences, in the applied sciences and technologies linked to them.
Here, in the School of Biotechnology, we expose our students to recent exciting developments in the area of Biotechnology and their exploitation in industry, agriculture and medicine with the main emphasis is on genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics so that we provide education and research in Biotechnology directed towards distinct economic, health and social objectives. We prepare our students to discover their latent potential and work as efficient and disciplined Biotechnologists. We also stimulate their creative thinking to do innovative work in diverse branches of Biotechnology at national and international level.
